Parker Performing Arts School Board of Directors

In a parent led charter school, the Board of Directors governs the school in a similar way that the Board of Education governs a district led neighborhood school.  The Parker Performing Arts School Board of Directors are all unpaid volunteers who have full time jobs, families, and also take on these duties for the school.

Director Jason Sanders, Vice President

Jason Sanders is excited to serve on the board of Parker Performing Arts during the school’s development phase.  Jason has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physics from Utah State University and a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.  He has worked in the science and engineering fields as an engineer, scientist, and attorney.

Today, Jason is a patent attorney where he provides patent counseling for Fortune 500 companies, universities, and start-up companies.  In college, he was the payload manager for a number of experiments that flew aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery.  Jason founded Ben Franklin Academy in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and has since worked with other developing charter schools.

The school’s commitment to the Four C’s (creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and communication) resonated with Sean not only as key skills for the performing arts, but also for the job market.

Sean is an avid cyclist, having completed some of the well known Colorado Century Rides, including Elephant Rock and the Colorado-Eagle River Ride. Prior to joining the PPAS Board he served as Treasurer of the Rocky Mountain Scottish Athletes.
