Dear Families,

Welcome back!  Happy New Year!   This is one of my favorite times of the year, as it is an opportunity to reflect upon the previous year while planning, preparing, and dreaming about the upcoming year.  At PPA we had quite a year in 2016–we went from an idea on paper to an actual school serving more than 700 students.  What we were able to do in the last 6 months of 2016 takes most schools several years to accomplish. We have so much to be thankful for!

As we enter 2017 the leadership team is planning, preparing and resolving to make 2017 even better.  Aside from the necessary planning for the 2017-2018 school year, we have even bigger goals to accomplish. We will continue to look for opportunities to get better every single day for the benefit our our students.  We will build a performing arts program to rival any school in the metro area.  Most importantly, we will continue to build an educational program and cultural we can all be proud of.
2017 is going to be a great year for PPA–thank you for joining us on this adventure!

CEREAL DONATION
In the event a student is at school without lunch, we provide students with a box of cereal and milk as a replacement.  We are in need of donations of single-serving cereal boxes for our kitchen pantry.  These single serving boxes are available at Walmart.  If you are able to donate, please drop the boxes by the front desk.
 GOT MILK?

PPA offers milk to students at lunch for a fee of $.50 daily. If you don’t want to worry about sending your student to school with money to purchase milk, you can purchase bulk quantities of milk online at the link below.  Your student’s name will be placed on the milk list for your student to pick up during lunch. All pre-payments must be received by January 7.

 NHSDA
PPA is starting a junior chapter of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts, open to students in grades 6-8. An info meeting will be held for students after school from 3:30-4:00 pm on Monday, January 9. If your student is interested but cannot attend the info meeting, they can email Mrs Bryan at ebryan@parkerperformingarts.org and the info will be sent to them.
