Dear Parents,

I hope this message finds you enjoying a lovely 4-day weekend.  As a start-up organization, we are faced with challenges and opportunities that many communities never endure.   Thank you for hanging in with us.  Please enjoy the extra long weekend to rest, re-charge and do the things that bring you joy.   Hopefully this break will give us all the energy we need to hit the ground running….into QUARTER 2.

NO SCHOOL

Reminder–there is NO SCHOOL November 7 and 8.   Contractors will be completing work on our building, so it will be a busy place, but there are no classes Monday and Tuesday this week.

PICTURE MAKE-UP DAY

Thursday, November 10 is picture make-up day.  This day is reserved for students who did not take school pictures in October. Students needing to take pictures can be in dress of choice.

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!

We continue to need help at both drop-off and pick-up.  If you haven’t already, please sign up for a shift using the links below.   We have a great time in the line (singing, dancing, dressing up!) and would love to have you join us!

IMPORTANT REMINDER-EMAIL

Email is an important tool for communication, and as such, we value the opportunity for interaction with both parents and students in this form. However, please allow us some time (48 hours) to respond appropriately to your message or request.

SPRING AUCTION MEETING

Planning is underway for our spring fundraiser and silent auction to be held in conjunction with our Spring musical.  If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please plan to attend a meeting on Tuesday, November 15 at 9am at the school.  This is a huge event and we can use all the help we can get!

SEEKING DONATIONS

Our school nurse is requesting donations of underwear (both boys & girls sizes to fit kindie up to at least 4th grade) and some gently used clothing for both boys & girls. If you are willing to donate any of these items, please drop them by the main office.

We are also seeking a used microwave for our cafeteria to allow students to heat up their lunches.  If you have a spare, please email office@parkerperformingarts.org to arrange a drop-off time.

BOX TOPS!

Box Tops for Education Collection Dates: Dec 12th – 16th.  Clip and save your Box Tops and turn them in during the collection dates to your child’s homeroom teacher in a ziploc bag labeled with the teacher’s name.  The top 3 classes that turn in the most Box Tops will win a DRESS OF CHOICE DAY!! Remember to ask your neighbors, friends, and family members to clip and save as well.
