I am thrilled to serve your students as the Principal of Parker Performing Arts School.
Being as close to a native as possible, I grew up in Colorado and absolutely love this state! I received a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Colorado State University, and after a short stint in the business world, returned to academia to earn a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, along with a teaching license from the University of Denver. After teaching middle school mathematics for seven years, I returned to college (again!) to earn a second Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and have spend the last five years serving as a founding principal and school leader at another Douglas County charter school. I reside in Aurora (my hometown) with my husband and our 11-year old daughter and 7-year old son. We enjoy spending time together boating, playing outdoors, watching our kids play sports and attending every CSU football game we can.
Meaningful engagement in the performing arts, alongside a rigorous academic program will encourage creativity, critical thinking and problem solving in our students. Parker Performing Arts School will be a community that builds self-esteem and self-worth, confidence, empathy and passion in our young people. It is my honor and privileged to be on this journey with all of you.
