Theater Teacher

I am thrilled to join the team at PPA as the middle school theatre teacher. My passion for learning and sharing knowledge is contagious, my passion for youth is overflowing, and my passion for the arts as a tool to encourage curiosity and a lifelong love of learning is infinite! It is my goal to establish and maintain a warm, joyous, productive environment where all students will be supported and all growth will be celebrated.

My own journey with theatre arts began when I was convinced I sounded just like Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz at the age of five.  I also convinced my mother, and continued to convince her to help me pursue any theatrical opportunity within a 20 mile radius.  I joined after school performing groups, attended performing arts camp, took private and group lessons in voice and dance, and eventually received a BA in Fine Arts-Theatre.  I have been fortunate in my experiences of performing professionally for many years and directing and choreographing all over the country, including Alaska when I founded a Summer Stock Theater for Youth.

In 2012, I received an MA in Education from Goddard College, where I also plan to earn an MFA by 2018.
