Hello Parker Performing Arts families, my name is Mandi Luna, and I am thrilled to be a part of the upcoming Parker Performing Arts School. This special opportunity came at a perfect time for me, because I have been working on my Masters in Elementary Education for the past five years, while raising my four children, and I recently graduated from Regis University at the end of April. My husband, Justin, and I have been together for twenty years, and married for fourteen. Our children are ten, nine, seven and five; two boys, and two girls. Our children are the joys and loves of our lives. My undergraduate degrees, from the University of Colorado, Boulder, are in Kinesiology and Japanese. I have spent time studying, working and living in Japan, and after graduating, I ran my own business as a personal trainer for ten years. However, I have always known since I was a young girl, that I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. Teaching is my passion. I taught English in Japan, I taught dance as a young adult, and I have been a substitute teacher for the last three years. I am definitely a huge fan of Apple technology, and I am ignited by the limitless possibilities for enhancing learning through technology. Lastly, I can only imagine how magical and effective combining performing arts, rigorous academics and twenty-first century technology will be, and I am humbled, super excited, and sincerely grateful to be a part of this unique and special opportunity.
