Born and raised in the lovely Bluegrass state, I love almost all things Kentucky; hot browns, thoroughbred racing, and rolling hills, just not humidity. My roots just so happen to run a lovely shade of Wildcat blue. I traded rolling hills for palm trees and attended college in the lovely southern city of Charleston, South Carolina, hence the occasional “ya’ll”. I’ve had a favorite human for 5 years now, I get to call her my niece. Ask me to see a picture and I’ll likely show you an entire camera roll. My teaching career has seen a wide gamut of classroom experiences, including 4-6th grades in Ghana, West Africa, 3-5th grades in Copenhagen, Denmark, a deaf education class in St. Louis du Nord, Haiti & a K-8 one room schoolhouse in rural southeastern Montana. Trains, planes, automobiles or a pair of dusty hiking shoes, I’m always up to see the sights and do some exploring. Church, reading for fun, and grad school work consume the rest of my weekends.
