PPA Keeps the Arts Free

No audition is required to attend, so seasoned performers and novices alike can dance, act, play an instrument, or create visual art at no cost and all within the hours of a regular school day.

The Arts Can Be Expensive

Financially supporting a student who wants to pursue an artistic discipline can add up to an  astronomical amount of money. The average fee for a weekly dance or acting lesson in Colorado is $16.00. Learning to play a musical instrument is as much as $80.00 an hour. A study tracking parent spending on enrichment classes finds families invest up to $10,000 a year on such programs. At PPA students spend half the day every day studying the arts – for free!

“Our founders were cognizant of the fact that the arts were being removed from public education due to budget cuts. They wanted to give kids a really good experience in the arts whether they already know how to perform or just want to explore.

- Phil Molfino, PPA Principal

Parker Performing Arts combines a rigorous academic curriculum with daily training in performing arts. Beginning in kindergarten, students build a solid foundation in four artistic disciplines: music, musical theater/dance, tumbling/movement and visual art. In middle school, 5th - 8th graders select four performing arts electives each semester from the 5 PPA Artistic Pathways.

“Every performing arts teacher here is a professional. They’re musicians, actors, dancers. We bring kids who love the arts under one roof with these caring, talented human beings and good things happen.

- Phil Molfino, PPA Principal

PPA’s founders recognized that keeping the arts accessible gives all artistically inclined kids the opportunity to focus on what they love. Sign up for a school tour now.
