As a tuition-free, public K-8 arts-focused charter school, we offer a unique combination of academics and arts for students in elementary and middle school.
PPA Anchors the Arts in Douglas County
PPA is an anchor for the local arts community. While budget cuts force arts programming to be eliminated in many schools, Parker Performing Arts was founded to keep the arts free and accessible for all K-8 students in Douglas County. No other school in the area offers free classes like tumbling, Shakespeare, jazz band, tap, modern, and more to elementary and middle school students.
No audition is required to attend PPA, so students who may not otherwise have the chance to perform in public are given the opportunity. We also open our school for Gallery Nights to showcase the visual arts pieces our students create including paintings, sculptures, and multimedia.
PPA Performs in the Community
In addition to welcoming the public to our impressive theater, our students have the opportunity to perform in many local venues and serve the larger community by entertaining at a variety of local organizations. PPA maintains excellent relationships with local charitable partners. Our students are often featured performers at galas and other events. It’s often the highlight of the evening!
Arts are essential to the health and vitality of a community. PPA is not only training the next generation of artists, our students are entertaining Douglas County today. A limited number of spaces are available for the 2024-25 school year. Contact us today to learn how to enroll.
