PPA’s Value Add

In addition to our rigorous academics for elementary and middle schoolers, PPA has added intrinsic value to our before, during and after school programs.

Before and After School Programs

PPA is open to enrolled students from 6:30 am until 6:00 pm. Our before and after school Spotlight program is designed to complement school day activities. The Spotlight teachers align all programming with PPA’s developmentally appropriate, academic programs. At PPA there’s an emphasis on cognitive skills, curiosity, social confidence, community service, character development, and leadership training.

A large group of Parker Performing Arts students are running in the school’s courtyard during the Spotlight after school program.

The Spotlight program also runs during some school vacation weeks and throughout the summer. These camps are based on a central theme and include creative programming, academic time, field trips, and endless fun! During the summer PPA also hosts theater, dance, and other performance-based camps for both enrolled students and those entering the school in the fall.

Clubs and Electives

Elementary and middle school students can participate in a variety of clubs at PPA like Girls on the Run, chess, origami, and Spanish clubs in elementary school and even more to choose from in middle school like Technical Theatre, Improv, Math, and Dungeons & Dragons.

A group of five Parker Performing Arts middle schoolers – 3 girls and two boys -- are gathered together talking about what they’re looking at on one student’s tablet.

Our middle school electives include theater design and multimedia production where 5th - 8th graders learn how to write screenplays and direct movies. Our ever expanding visual arts offerings include drawing, painting, sculpture and handicrafts. This program is designed to not only foster creative expression, communication through artistic endeavor, and appreciation of culture and heritage, but to enable students to refine their technique, increase their artistic vocabulary, and express themselves.

Middle schoolers are also eligible to join honor societies and organizations including the National Junior Honors Society, International Junior Thespians Society, the National Arts Honor Society, the National Honor Society for Dance Arts, and the Tri-M Music Honor Society, and Student Council.

No audition is required to attend PPA. Our performing arts classes are for beginning, intermediate, and advanced students. A limited number of seats are still available for the 2024-25 school year. Contact us today to enroll.
