Opportunities for Every Student

She grew up in Lakewood, Colorado and graduated from Wheat Ridge High School before attending Metropolitan State University of Denver where she earned a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management. She received her master’s degree in elementary education from Grand Canyon University.

Heather transitioned from the hospitality industry, including a stint at Walt Disney World to teaching a few years before joining the faculty at PPA.

Why Teach at PPA?

“I was attracted to PPA because it’s a school that offers the opportunity to every child to learn about the performing arts. Even if they do not become performers, exposure to the arts helps kids develop future skills."

What makes PPA Special?

“An amazing group of people fill this building. Each student brings their own special piece to this place. I love to see the excitement on their faces when they learn something new. Plus, the staff I get to work with is like no other!”

At the End of Each Day, What Brings You Satisfaction?

It’s being able to meet the academic needs of every student in my class. There’s a teaching assistant in each classroom. Because there are two of us, we can work with students on what they specifically need and help them accomplish their daily goal. That makes each day in the classroom productive and gives me a lot of satisfaction.

PPA elementary students spend half of their day receiving literacy and mathematics instruction in a blended, one to one, technology supported environment. The class size in Kindergarten through 4th grade is no more than 25 students and every academic classroom has a teacher and a teaching assistant.

A limited number of spaces are still available for the 2024-2025 school year. Contact us today
