If Becca had to sum up Parker Performing Arts School (PPA) in five words or less she would say: Performing, Magic, Opportunities, Community, SHINE! We are the only arts-focused, tuition-free charter school for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade in Douglas County.
A Place Where Students Can Thrive
Becca Greer has been teaching at PPA since 2016. She grew up in Colorado. She has a B.A. In Musical Theatre, Minor in Dance from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. She started at PPA as the tumbling teaching assistant and now is a lead dance teacher and works with the elementary production team. Becca’s theatre experience extends beyond the classroom as she is also a teacher for Inspire Creative Theatre Company, Choreographer for Inspire Creative, Lutheran High School, Legend High School, and for a theatre in Estes Park. She also performed in 5 regional productions at the PACE Center from 2015-2018.
What attracted you to PPA?
“When I was first hired at PPA I was looking for a full time job with benefits and loved that a job at PPA would allow me to do two things I loved; theatre and working with kids. I have stayed so long because I truly believe in what this place strives to be. I love that we give kids the opportunity to be themselves and to explore all the arts have to offer”
What makes PPA feel like the right place for you to be??
“PPA is the kind of school I would have LOVED when I was a kid. I love getting to provide that kind of experience for the next generation.”
PPA is a school full of opportunities for all students. With at least one guaranteed performance per school year, elementary students also have the chance to participate in several after school and extracurricular activities that offer additional performance opportunities. Elementary students can audition for the All School Musical, Honor Choir, and Student Talent Show, just to name a few.
What are you most looking forward to achieving this year??
“I am looking forward to all of our class shows this year! They are all going to be really fun and I think we chose shows that are a great fit for each class.”
What is your greatest achievement since starting at PPA?
“I feel like I am a completely different person from when I started at PPA. I have gotten married and have an incredible 4 year old daughter. I am currently in the process of getting my teaching license which makes me feel very official! It has been incredible to watch an entire group of kids go all the way through PPA and know that I was a part of their experience here. Getting to see the amazing young adults that they grew up to be was magical. I have grown right alongside my students and that's amazing!”
PPA elementary students spend half of their day in arts programing, including musical theatre, dance, music and art. The class size in Kindergarten through 4th grade is no more than 25 students. Each arts class has a different group of students from the academic classes, allowing for students to meet new friends and share educational experiences with different students.
A limited number of spaces are still available for the 2025-2026 school year. Contact us today
